Its is called 호떡 /Hoddeok!!this one is one of the famous street snacks of there in Korea^^
Its much similar to pancake just that there is stuffing going on inside the it.
Common koreans stuff it with brown sugar*which gradually melts when cooking and turns into sweet golden syrup! yum!
They also stuff other fillings like cheese,nuts and cinnamon powder~~
Well.. all you need is~~
1.Flour 2 cups
2.water 1 cup
3.dry yeast 2 tsp
4.salt ½ tsp
5.vegetable oil 1 tbp
6.sugar 2 tbp
For the fillings~~
7.brown sugar ½ cup
8.walnuts 2 tbs
9.cinnamon powder 1 tsp
Lets start!
1st the fillings!
just mix the the fillings ingredient together~
here come hoddeok
Stir veg oil+sugar+salt+yeast together..
Then~~
add the flour,mix it well..
let it rise for 10~20 mins.
after the 10~20 mins of listening to kpop songs..
it's time to knead it again so that the air bubles pops!
Divide the dough to 8 equal parts..
Then round the dough so that its easier to stuff the fillings..
Heat the pan~~Careful~Its hot!!!
Then fry them!!
