There's a Mini Korea in Shanghai?

KOREA has much to offer for the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. One if it will be its grand pavilion adopting 'convergence' as its main theme. The structure is made up of steel mostly. The exterior is made up of 'han-gul' (Korean alphabets) panels and the interior is covered with 40,000 colurful art pixels with Korean alphabets on it designed or selected by the famous wall artist 'Ik-Joong Kang'. Sequential lighting will light up each exterior panel individually at night. Awesome right?

Not only that, on the floor sits a 3D map showing the convergence of nature and urbanism reflecting the true nature of Seoul. Visitors will be cooled off by natural ventilation and a 79m long artificial river which cuts through the map that represents the Han River passing through Seoul and to top it all off the building is elevated from the ground.

If the building is not impressive enough, checkout where its situated, the Korean pavilion is placed on the perimeter of 2010 Shanghai World Expo site, granting all its viewers a breath-taking view of the Huangpu river. The 6000 squared metres plot the pavilion is sitting on is one of the largest in World Expo compound.

And dear readers, hungry for more photo's? Well don't worry, I'll be going there myself so i'll take more detailed and up close photo's and also more info on the pavilion. It'll be a feast for the eye. I really hope and I can see U-know Yunho there I heard he will be representing Korea for this event. =)
